Al Ain Zoo, which you probably figured is in Al Ain, has more than 4,000 animals of which 2,500 of them are mammals. Within the zoo you will find many rare species including White Lions and White Rhinos. Al Ain Zoo has excellent facilities, animal welfare and considers the animals as a top priority in any decision making, which is a massive improvement compared to a certain Dubai zoo.
While at Al Ain Zoo, special experiences include feeding Giraffes some much loved carrots, feeding the pony and watching the mighty alpha animals dig into a meaty feast. If you get hungry while zooing the day away, there is a restaurant and cafe at the zoo to have a quick snack or main meal at. There is also a zoo babies section at Al Ain Zoo which the kids will love.

Al Tamimi Stables is a privately owned farm and educational centre located in the desert of Sharjah. Al Tamimi Stables has a petting farm where you can play with and groom animals from small Hamsters to big baby Goats. After playing with the pet animals, children can then take a guided pony walk on one of the many ponies provided. Adults cannot ride the ponies for obvious reasons.
Apart from the pet farm and pony rides, you can also take a guided nature tour around the stables where you will get to see all the animals and become a bit more knowledgeable as the guide tells you a range of interesting facts about each animal. Al Tamimi Stables also plays host to a variety of falcon shows where you can hold, touch and stroke the birds before watching them hunt for their food.

Atlantis Lost Chambers Aquarium has a range of large tanks holding a total of 65,000 fish. When arriving, you will be able to explore underwater mazes and tunnels in the lost civilisation while spotting the water wondering Sharks, Piranhas, Eels and Seahorses. There is also an Aquatheatre, interactive touch tank and 18 other interactive activities.
Apart from the already huge amount of available activities you can take part in at Atlantis Lost Chambers Aquarium; you can also go and watch a feeding frenzy where all the fishes are fed. Also, for a little extra, you can get an exclusive VIP behind the scenes tour.

Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo holds the record for the largest suspended aquarium in the whole world with 140 species of fish and 400 sharks and rays within its tank. The fish tank, which has a see-through tunnel at the bottom of it going straight through, is a total of 51 metres in length and reaches the third floor of the mall.
Apart from the tank and the see-through tunnel going through Dubai Aquarium, there is also an underwater zoo where you can see a range of animals that inhabit our rivers and seas like Penguins, Otters and CROCODILES!!!

If looking to see fantastic Dolphin and Seal displays in Dubai, you must visit Dubai Dolphinarium, especially if you have children. Watch the seals do handstands while the dolphins jump through hoops and perform a range of other tricks.
If after watching you still don’t feel fully satisfied, you can also go swimming with the Dolphins. A food court is also located right next to the Dolphinarium. Once finished at the Dolphinarium, you can take a walk to Children’s City which is only a stone’s throw away.

Emirates Park Zoo is located 45 minutes out of Dubai in the direction of Abu Dhabi. Emirates Park Zoo first opened in 2008 and was the first privately owned zoo in the UAE. The zoo is very child friendly and has tons of activities to keep the who family happy.
Some of the main attractions at Emirates Park Zoo include a Bird Park, Flamingo Park, Giraffe Park, Ocean Park, Predator Section, Primate Section, Reptile Park, Snake Section and a Domestic Section where you can feed a variety of animals some much loved food.

Exo-Terra is located in Uptown Mirdif and is a man-made cave with a host of slithery reptiles making it their home. The Exo-Terra zoo and educational center has a variety of reptiles and snakes on display behind well enforced glass. When visiting, if you would like anymore information on any of the species found, simply ask a member of staff dotted around the zoo awaiting questions from the general public.

The Sharjah Aquarium opened its door for the first time in 2008 and is set out over two floors. The Sharjah Aquarium has a total of 20 water aquariums with each and every one containing a massive 1.8 million litres of water. The Sharjah Aquarium is home to 250 species of fish from tiny Clown Fish to Seahorses and Reef Sharks. There is also a coffee shop at the aquarium where you can relax and enjoy some refreshments.

The Sharjah Desert Park which covers a total area of one square kilometre, is the Middle East’s one & only indoor zoo, which makes it a fantastic attraction to visit during summer when outdoor temperatures become unbearable. Pretty much any animal which lives in the Middle East can be found within the Sharjah Desert Park. At the park you will get to see mammals, carnivores, birds and many more animals. There are two museums at the Sharjah Desert Park and children also have the opportunity to feed the ducks. The rare Arabian Leopard can also be found at the Sharjah Desert Park.
