As a parent you always worry about your children being safe when going out. One of the many great things about Dubai is that unlike the UK or other parts of the world where letting your child out by themselves may not be very safe, Dubai is classed as a safe place for children. Below is a list of some of the most popular places for teenagers to hang out in Dubai which are also safe places for children.
. . . . . . . . Wild Wadi is a place you must visit especially if you have kids. Wild Wadi is located right next to The Burj Al Arab Hotel. At Wild Wadi you will have over 30 rides to choose from including the Jumeirah Scare. Note that on some rides you may need to be of a certain height or age. If you have already been to Wild Wadi then another great water park is Aquaventure Water Park.
. . . . . . . . Ski Dubai is located in the Mall of The Emirates and is the first of its kind in the Middle East. Ski Dubai has the largest indoor snow park in the world and is very popular among teenagers. Sports you can do or take lessons in at Ski Dubai include snowboarding, skiing and tobogganing. Also if you would like to spend time with some real penguins this is also available at Ski Dubai.
. . . . . . . . Desert Safari is great fun for people of any age including teenagers (As long as you don’t get car sick). You will be thrown around the car up, down and around by a professional 4×4 desert driver. If it is only teenagers going then you could ask the desert safari company to pick up the teenagers from your house and drop them back off at your house. This may cost a little extra money but saves you time travelling to the desert location to drop and pick them up.
The Burj Khalifa Observation Deck
. . . . . . . . The Burj Khalifa Observation Deck is located at the top of the Burj Khalifa building in Dubai and allows teenagers to travel to the top to have a look around and take in the views. The Burj Khalifa has 160 floors and reaches a height of 826 metres. If you book in advance the price is much, much cheaper than arriving on the day and paying at the Burj Khalifa to go up.
Hot Air Ballooning
. . . . . . . . Hot Air Ballooning is a great way to see Dubai and its deserts along with having fun with friends high up in the air. Teenagers who are interested in going on a 1 hour hot air ballooning tour will ride across the desert starting with being able to see the sun rise. Of course the only down side of this activity is you will have to get up very early in the morning. For more info on Hot Air Ballooning Tours, costs and providers
Dubai Aquarium & Under Water Zoo
. . . . . . . . Dubai Aquarium is located in the Dubai Mall and is a great shopping mall for teenagers to hangout in. At Dubai Mall teenagers can go to Sega Republic indoor Theme Park, Dubai Ice Rink, the cinema and Dubai Aquarium. At Dubai Aquarium there are over 33,000 aquatic animals including 400 sharks. Also available at Dubai Aquarium you can dive (Must show your diving licence) or learn to dive inside the aquarium. You may also go snorkelling inside the aquarium.
Go To The Beach
. . . . . . . . Take a trip down to one of Dubai’s beautiful beaches where teenagers can have a run around, go swimming and catch a tan while chilling with their friends. If teenagers are looking for a nice beach to go to for the day we suggest you try out Jumeirah Beach as it has a range of facilities for kids and families of all ages.
Go To The Park
. . . . . . . . You may not know this but there are actually quite a lot of parks in Dubai, It is hard to recommend just one park as they are all good and which park you go to really depends on where you are living. If teenagers are looking for a day out in the park with friends they can either chill out or try out one of the activities at the park. For example Creek Park offers a cable car ride and Safa Park has peddle boat rides along its pond.
. . . . . . . . Global Village is located on Emirates Road and is open only during the winter months and not during summer due to the heat. Entry is cheap at 10 AED per head but be warned as rides are not at all cheap with the average ride costing 20 to 40 AED. As long as teenagers have got a bit of money to spend then they will never get bored here with so many things to do including rides, game stalls, food and general item sections for lots of different countries in the world.
The Palm Jumeirah
. . . . . . . . The Palm Jumeirah offers plenty of things for teenagers to do including Aquaventure Water Park, The Lost Chambers, Atlantis Dive Centre, Dolphin bay (Where you can swim with dolphins) and Club Rush where teenagers can hang out in an alcohol free night club with one very strict rule…. NO PARENTS ALLOWED!
